Vuelta al origen: Prácticas creativas contemporáneas entre lo analógico y lo digital

Abstract

En el contexto contemporáneo, cada vez más industrializado, la artesanía adquiere un nuevo valor y poder de atracción. Esta nueva tendencia no trata de rehuir la tecnología, sino que más bien produce una creciente desaparición de los límites que existían en su momento entre las bellas artes y el arte digital. Este trabajo se centra en el estudio y análisis de los diferentes modos que las técnicas de la imagen y el audiovisual analógicos, desde el comienzo de la digitalización de los medios, se han ido reformulando y a su vez hibridándose con las nuevas posibilidades técnicas digitales, para elaborar nuevos discursos artísticos. Nos centramos en el ámbito de la creatividad a través del uso de tecnologías analógicas y digitales, para la creación de discursos audiovisuales contemporáneos. Los aspectos analizados versan sobre la sostenibilidad de los registros, de los soportes y formatos de ambas modalidades. Exploramos y analizamos los trabajos de diversos artistas del siglo XX y XXI, para contrastar los modelos de creación visual que mezclan técnicas y procedimientos, a través de la combinación de sistemas y formatos con lo digital, además de poner de manifiesto los retos en cuestión de sostenibilidad de formatos de producción y registro audiovisual.

In the increasingly industrialized contemporary context, the craft is gaining a new value and power of attraction. This new trend does not try to avoid technology, but rather produces a growing disappearance of the boundaries that existed at the time between the fine arts and digital art. This work focuses on the study and analysis of the different ways in which analogue imaging and audiovisual techniques have been reformulated since the beginning of the digitalisation of the media, and in turn hybridized with the new digital technical possibilities to elaborate new artistic discourses. We focus on the field of creativity through the use of analogue and digital technologies for the creation of contemporary audio-visual discourses. The analyzed aspects deal with the sustainability of the analogue and digital records, of the mediums and formats of both modalities. We explore and analyze the works of various artists of the XX and XXI centuries to contrast the visual creation models that mix techniques and procedures, through the combination of systems and formats in disuse with the digital. In addition, we highlight the challenges within sustainability of production formats and audiovisual record.
