ANALYSIS OF HIGH FREQUENCY PLANE WAVE SCATTERING FROM A DOUBLE NEGATIVE CYLINDER VIA THE MODIFIED WATSON TRANSFORMATION AND DEBYE EXPANSION
ŞEN, Serkan; Kuzuoğlu, Mustafa (2008-01-01)
The modified Watson transform is applied to the Mie series expression of the electromagnetic field scattered by a high frequency plane wave incident on an infinitely long double negative cylinder. The Debye expansion is applied to the Mie series coefficients to obtain a physical insight into the scattering mechanisms and achieve an efficient approach for the computation of the scattered field. The first two terms of the Debye series are computed using the residue series in the geometrical shadow regions and...
Analysis of optical constants and temperature-dependent absorption edge of GaS0.75Se0.25 layered crystals
IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2017-06-01)
GaS0.75Se0.25 single crystals were optically characterized through transmission and reflection measurements in the wavelength range of 450-1000 nm. Derivative spectrophotometry analyses on temperature dependent transmittance spectra showed that band gap energies of the crystal increase from 239 eV (T=300 K) to 2.53 eV (T=10 K). Band gap at zero temperature, average phonon energy, electron phonon coupling parameter and rates of change of band gap energy with temperature were found from the temperature depend...
Analysis of Airborne LiDAR Point Clouds With Spectral Graph Filtering
Bayram, Eda; Frossard, Pascal; Vural, Elif; Alatan, Abdullah Aydın (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2018-08-01)
Separation of ground and nonground measurements is an essential task in the analysis of light detection and ranging (LiDAR) point clouds; however, it is challenge to implement a LiDAR filtering algorithm that integrates the mathematical definition of various landforms. In this letter, we propose a novel LiDAR filtering algorithm that adapts to the irregular structure and 3-D geometry of LiDAR point clouds. We exploit weighted graph representations to analyze the 3-D point cloud on its original domain. Then,...
