Influence of nature of silica source on template-free synthesis of ZSM-5
Kalıpçılar, Halil (Wiley, 2001-01-01)
Synthesis of ZSM-5 from template-free batches which preceded the preparation of template-free ZSM-5 layers on porous supports was studied to ascertain the effect of nature of silica source on the purity of template-free ZSM-5. Silicic acid and two colloidal silica sols were used as silica sources to prepare the template-free batches with a molar composition of 6.5Na(2)O:Al2O3:80SiO(2):3196H(2)O. One of the colloidal silica sols contained methanol as stabilizer while the other did not. The product purity and...

Influence of heteroatoms on the extent of double bond pyramidalization
Can, H; Zahn, D; Balcı, Metin; Brickmann, M (Wiley, 2003-03-01)
The origin of double bond pyramidalization in the series of norbornene and norbornadiene derivatives and the effect of heteroatoms on the magnitude of the double bond bending are reported. For this purpose, equilibrium geometries, vibrational frequencies, and NBO second-order perturbation energies were calculated by use of B3LYP/6-31G** level wave functions. The optimized geometric parameters calculated for norbornadiene are in good agreement with the available experimental results. NBO second-order perturb...
Influence of isomorphic atom substitution on lattice anisotropy of thallium dichalcogenide layered mixed crystals
Hasanlı, Nızamı (2006-10-01)
Compositional variation of the lattice parameters of TlBX2-type (B = Ga or In and X = S or Se) mixed crystals with monoclinic structure were studied by X-ray diffraction technique. The lattice anisotropy (c/b) of these mixed crystals changes linearly with substitution of the atoms located both at the centers and the vertices of the corresponding BX4 tetrahedra. A brief survey of the important features of the effect of isomorphic atom substitution on the lattice anisotropy and the unit cell volume of TIBX2-t...
INFLUENCE OF EVEN NUCLEON NUMBERS AND CLOSED SHELLS ON MASS AND CHARGE-DISTRIBUTION IN LOW-ENERGY FISSION
BUYUKMUMCU, Z; ERTEN, HN; ARAS, NK (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1994-06-01)
Extensive experimental and evaluated yield data are now available for the fragments in low energy nuclear fission. Using these data we re-examined the influence of even nuclear numbers and closed shells on the mass and charge distribution in low energy fission. We used WAHL's Zp model and Ap model. We also examined the effects of Z = 50, N = 82 and possibly N = 88 shells. A new method was developed based on two Gaussian curves for the even and odd products. The EOZ and EON values calculated are based on the...
