Developing Practical Approaches to Modify Hepatic Fatty Acid Processing and Lipid Mediator Biosynthesis in Dairy Cattle: The Emerging Role of Lipidomics

Other Titles

Abstract

The advent of mass spectrometry-based lipidomics provides a unique opportunity to expand our understanding of energy metabolism in dairy cattle. This presentation will focus on our application of lipidomics in the dairy sciences, and the realities and misconceptions as they relate to insulin resistance, hepatic fatty acid processing, and lipoprotein metabolism in dairy cattle.
