Abstract
This mixed-methods study builds on Save the Children work in Kenya and Somaliland to explore how and when development, humanitarian, and climate actors could better support households and communities facing protracted and worsening food crises. It captures the voices of people and families living through the 2021-2023 drought. The overarching research question it asked those communities was: How and when can development, climate change and humanitarian actors best support households to further protect their livelihoods and wellbeing in the face of repeated or ongoing food crises forecasted to worsen?
