Os sons que unem : a paisagem sonora e a indentidade religiosa

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa, imersa no universo dos sons, apresenta as relações que se estabelecem entre a paisagem sonora e a construção da identidade religiosa. Com foco na comunidade religiosa da Igreja Adventista da Promessa do Bairro Alto, na cidade de Curitiba-PR, apresenta a tese de que as paisagens sonoras atuam na construção e reafirmação de identidades a partir da constituição de paisagens da memória e da imaginação que advém das experiências dos indivíduos religiosos. Nesse sentido, foi realizado um trabalho qualitativo, na busca das subjetividades dos indivíduos, e das similitudes que se encontram na coletividade da comunidade. Para tanto, optou-se por uma pesquisa participante, onde diferentes estratégias metodológicas foram adotadas para a coleta de materiais a serem analisados, o que implicou em gravações dos cultos oficiais da igreja estudada, aplicação de questionários, entrevistas e produções de mapas mentais. O entrecruzamento das informações obtidas tornou possível o desvendar de universos pessoais através das histórias dos indivíduos, pertinentes à compreensão do significado da religião na vida dos entrevistados, revelando as práticas religiosas nos respectivos espaços de ação, o que indica a espacialidade religiosa por meio de ideias e ações. A base teórica está alicerçada no pensamento de Ernst Cassirer, que considera a cultura a partir de suas formas simbólicas. É no diálogo com o pensamento cassireriano que se utiliza uma abordagem geográfica cultural, de modo a desvendar as vivências religiosas e as experiências dos indivíduos com o sagrado, bem como compreender a relação que se dá entre a identidade religiosa e a ação destes na oposição do espaço sagrado com o espaço profano.

Abstract: This research, immersed in the world of sounds, shows the relationships established between the soundscape and the construction of religious identity. Focusing on the religious community of the Adventist Church of Promise, at the Bairro Alto, in the city of Curitiba-PR, contains the thesis that the soundscapes working in the construction and reaffirmation of identities from creation of landscapes of memory and imagination that arises from experiences of religious individuals. In this sense, a qualitative work was conducted in search of the subjectivities of individuals and the similarities that lie in the collectivity of the community. To this end, we opted for a participant research, where different methodological strategies were adopted to collect materials to be analyzed, which resulted in recordings of worship, questionnaires, interviews and productions of mind maps. With the exchange of information obtained has enabled unveil to unravel the personal universe through the stories of individuals, relevant to understanding the significance of religion in the lives of respondents, revealing the religious practices in their respective spaces of action, which indicates the religious spatiality through ideas and actions. The theoretical basis is rooted in the thought of Ernst Cassirer, who considers culture from their symbolic forms. In the dialogue with the cassirerian thought, uses an cultural geographical approach in order to unravel the religious experiences and the experiences of individuals with the sacred, as well as understand the relationship that exists between religious identity and action of those in the opposition of the sacred space with the profane space.
