Abstract
RESUMEN: El informe presentado a continuación aborda la temática de la artritis, existen más de 100 formas de artritis, algunas de las causas relativamente comunes de la artritis incluyen trauma, alineación anormal de los miembros, infecciones, en este caso en particular, se estará estudiando más a fondo la artritis reumatoide, la cual es enfermedad inflamatoria crónica, de naturaleza autoinmune, caracterizada por la afectación de múltiples articulaciones, en el primer capítulo uno se detalla el planteamiento del problema, donde relata una breve reseña histórica que describe el impacto y la prevalencia de las enfermedades reumáticas. En el segundo capítulo se describe la anatomía de miembro superior, seguidamente se menciona los diferentes tipos de artritis que se pueden dar, tomando en cuenta el más común la artritis reumatoide sus causas, signos y síntomas, métodos diagnósticos, modalidad de fisioterapia, sus precauciones antes y durante su tratamiento, su mecanismo de transferencia de calor, beneficios, indicaciones y contraindicaciones. OBJETIVOS: Identificar los signos y síntomas más comunes de los pacientes que forman parte de esta investigación y verificar la efectividad de la terapia ocupacional para aumentar la fuerza muscular y amplitud articular en la población que se estudia. CONCLUSIÓN: Al finalizar la investigación se concluyó que la aplicación de la parafina y la terapia ocupacional en artritis reumatoide es efectiva, ya que el total de los pacientes de nuestra población en estudio, presentaron mejoría a partir de la tercera semana de tratamiento, cumpliendo así las expectativas de la investigación.
ABSTRACT: The report presented below addresses the topic of arthritis, there are more than 100 forms of arthritis, some of the relatively common causes of arthritis include trauma, abnormal alignment of the limbs, infections, in this particular case, it will be studying more rheumatoid arthritis, which is a chronic inflammatory disease, of an autoimmune nature, characterized by the involvement of multiple joints, in the first chapter one details the approach to the problem, where he relates a brief historical review that describes the impact and prevalence of rheumatic diseases. In the second chapter, the anatomy of the upper limb is described, then the different types of arthritis that can occur are mentioned, taking into account the most common rheumatoid arthritis its causes, signs and symptoms, diagnostic methods, physical therapy modality, its precautions before and during your treatment, its heat transfer mechanism, benefits, indications and contraindications. OBJECTIVES: Identify the most common signs and symptoms of the patients that are part of this research and verify the effectiveness of occupational therapy to increase muscle strength and joint width in the population under study. CONCLUSION: At the end of the research, it was concluded that the application of paraffin and occupational therapy in rheumatoid arthritis is effective, since all the patients in our study population presented improvement after the third week of treatment, thus complying with the expectations of the investigation.
