Abstract
The properties of a well defined model of a double stranded semiflexible polymer have been calculated. The nontrivial differences between the high, low and zero temperature behavior have been also shown. Normal wormlike chain behavior have been observed at high temperatures. A kink-rod structure with short-range twist order has been observed at low temperature and a flat ribbon structure is observed at zero temperature. Local constraints are relaxed to global ones to calculate the two-point correlation functions. Higher order corrections only change the values of parameters but do not change the analytic form of the functions. The effect of confinement on the behavior of semiflexible double-stranded polymers was also examined.
