Abstract :
[en] INTRODUCTION: Aortic stenosis (AS) is the most common cause of valvular heart disease. Imaging plays a major role in the diagnosis and evaluation of AS severity. AREAS COVERED: The present review focuses on new emerging concepts in AS by stressing the substantial value of imaging into the understanding of the complex pathophysiology and management of AS. Expert commentary: Though, standard 2D echocardiography is often diagnostic multi-modality imaging can be required in patients with doubtful results or to refine the evaluation of AS.
