Abstract :
[en] Synthesis of various acetates catalysed by the Candida antarctica SP435 lipase was carried out in n-heptane. Reactions progress was established over a one hour period. Differences appeared in function of the structure and the chain length of alcohols: linalool and menthol were not esterified whereas the esterification of 1-dodecanol gave the highest rate (474 micromole per min and per g) and yield (86 per cent).
